BBC Foundation earns MHN Excellence Award for Corporate Social Responsibility

  |     |   2019

Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation was recently recognized by Multi-Housing News’ Excellence Awards program for its work with the annual academic scholarship program.

The Foundation’s win of the Silver Award for Corporate Social Responsibility was announced on October 3 at a gala hosted in New York by Multi-Housing News and Commercial Property Executive.

Companies that demonstrated that it helped its surrounding community, be it through a volunteer program, helping after a natural disaster, local support or involvement, etc. in 2018 were eligible to enter and win the Corporate Social Responsibility award.

For the 2019/2020 academic year, Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation gave more than $120,000 in scholarships to residents spanning 22 states. Since the scholarship program began in 2009, the Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation has granted more than 400 scholarships to students pursuing a wide variety of academic interests. Each recipient has had a unique story, impressive credentials and ambitious dreams that continue to motivate the Foundation to work harder to provide more scholarships to the students of the future.

Congratulations to the Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation Board of Directors for this award!
