Balfour Beatty Communities Launches Innovative Programs, Resources to Create Exceptional Living Experiences for Military Residents Nationwide

Balfour Beatty Communities today announced that it is making significant investments by adding new professionals, implementing innovative programs and fielding advanced technology tools to improve standards of service and resident satisfaction with the goal to create exceptional living experiences for residents at the more than 50 military housing communities they manage across the country. These investments are the latest in a series of ongoing Balfour Beatty Communities initiatives focused on driving best practices in military housing along with its Army, Navy and Air Force partners.

Balfour Beatty Communities’ new tools, programs and resources are designed to create new levels of oversight and excellence related to maintenance projects and service requests, greater transparency and communications with residents on all aspects of their living environments, and ongoing environmental compliance across residences and communities while delivering exceptional living experiences for military personnel at properties across the country.

As part of its investment, Balfour Beatty Communities will hire dedicated Quality Control Specialists who will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of service and workmanship on resident service requests. To bolster the level of oversight and attention to detail within the maintenance function, Balfour Beatty Communities will also hire several additional Regional Facility Managers to perform training and skills development for maintenance staff, manage special projects and continually evaluate and implement best practices in operations and maintenance. They will work with the Quality Control Specialists and local Facilities Managers to ensure adherence to those best practices and the highest standards of community excellence.

Balfour Beatty Communities is also recruiting and hiring Resident Engagement Specialists at its properties around the country with a goal to drive greater resident communications and satisfaction. These specialists will aid customers with service-related questions and they will continuously identify opportunities to improve the resident experience. They will also be tasked to monitor resident needs and obtain their feedback. Balfour Beatty Communities has also invested in technology that will allow residents to submit, manage and track service requests and work orders online or through a mobile app. A new policy has been implemented that gives residents final approval on closing work orders to ensure tasks are completed to their satisfaction. To continually increase the focus of its employees on service, Balfour Beatty Communities is also implementing a more rigorous and comprehensive national customer service training program across all levels of the organization.

Environmental excellence is an ongoing focus at Balfour Beatty Communities and as part of this latest initiative, they will hire additional Environmental Specialists who will be strategically located throughout the portfolio of military properties. These professionals will focus on ongoing compliance with environmental standards while continually reviewing best practices and tools and looking for opportunities to implement them across Balfour Beatty Communities.
