BBC, housing partners, recognized with 2019 Air Mobility Command Civil Engineer award

Balfour Beatty Communities’ JBWS Charleston Homes community was recently recognized for its commitment to providing an exceptional living experience to residents with the 2019 Air Mobility Command Brigadier General Michael A. McAuliffe Award for Housing Excellence. This is the fifth award of its kind that the team has received.

The JBWS Charleston Homes team is in a unique partnership with fellow privatized military housing partner, Hunt Military Communities, who also own and manage a community at Joint Base Charleston. Together, the housing management teams provide almost 12,000 airmen, sailors, and their families a place to call home.

“Our number one priority is providing a high-quality resident experience to all the men and women who serve our country,” said Anne-Marie Niklaus, senior vice president of Balfour Beatty Communities. “We are grateful for this recognition and are proud of the dedication shown by our JBWS Charleston Homes team.”

The Brigadier General Michael A. McAuliffe Award for Housing Excellence recognizes excellence in providing housing support to military members and their families at installations with traditional housing operations or privatized housing operations. The award is part of the annual Air Mobility Command (AMC) awards from the Air Force.

"It is an honor to be part of a management team with such great partners," said Sandra Nelson, Housing Element Chief for the United States Air Force at Joint Base Charleston. "This award reaffirms that our team provides unprecedented housing support and exceptional customer service."
